My Summary
About Me
I have two children at secondary school, we live in a three bedroom house in a quiet close, close to green space and parks.
I like to keep the children in my care active and I do this by providing a range of activities, games and toys, We enjoy nature walks and fun in the garden.
It is really important to me that children in my care enjoy their time with me as well as develop and learn. Safety and happiness of each individual child is most important to me.
In house I like to provide the children with a choice of activities best suited to their age and preference. I have art and crafts, lots of story books, games and toys. I will also provide toys and equipment that a child will show a particular interest in but also introduce them to activities they may not have access to usually to encourage culture capital.
I am very flexible and understanding, I have a home from home setting and aim to provide an environment that in no way resembles a nursery or preschool, the aim to develop naturally through play and planned and spontaneous observation that I record and lay out next steps for the childs development. I have an open door policy parents are welcome into the home if they choose at drop off and pick up its important for everyone to be comfortable and I feel this approach works best.
I strongly believe that children learn through play and different activities and socialising with others, but I also value the rules implemented at home and aim to follow parents lead. I do implement house rules to enhance british values as layed out in ofsteds statutory framework, we sit at a table to eat on chairs or high chairs depending on childrens needs, I support toilet training following parents routine for consistency, we take turns and encourage sharing with an emphasis on being kind to others.
I will provide an all about me book, with pictures of your child to record the important milestones that they achieve whilst in my care, the book will be a keepsake and something to treasure. I also complete a tracker to record the childrens development as outlined by the department of education.
I am currently open from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday.
I have a locked filing cabinet for all documentation as detailed in my privacy notice layed out in the changes to GDPR..... all parents will have access to their own childs records at anytime and only guardians with consent will have access unless a cause of concern has been logged and safeguarding policy is followed.

Bith my children have been looked after by Chloe. She treats them as her own and the house is full of love. It is a real home from home setting, both my children gained confidence, and also learnt all manner of things. They both adore Chloe and I will be devastated when my youngest leaves. I could not ask for anymore from a childminder. She puts your mind at ease knowing how well looked after they are, and also how much the children love her and the time they spend in her setting. I could write pages and pages recommending Chloe, I will always feel lucky that both my children have been looked after by her. She is one in a million!!

I was so pleased to find Chloe when I had a last-minute need for childcare for my 3-month-old. She was quick to respond to my messages and it was easy to discuss the details of what we both needed. Her setting is very relaxed and the children there seemed happy and comfortable. She made it easy for me to visit before booking in with her and even though it was only for one day and not long-term care, she showed just as much interest, took care and listened to what I wanted for him. I was able to stay for a while beforehand, while dropping him off and when picking him up and I even popped in to feed him at lunchtime. It was great for me that she was so flexible and accommodating.
It's not easy to leave your baby at such a young age but Chloe was very understanding and seemed quite pleased to have a much younger babe for the day! I think he had a nice time with her and the other children and I would be very happy to book again with Chloe the next time I need someone to look after him!
