Excellent Childminder

I first put my daughter with Tessa when she was 6 months old. From the moment I met her I knew she was the perfect fit for her. She is an absolute proffesional and emanates warmth, kindness and a caring energy. My daughter has absolutely thrived in Tessa's care. I drop her off and pick her up with a smile on her face and I know when she's with Tessa she's going to have a brilliant day. She has been on so many days out, takes part in lots of activities, has lots of fresh air and nourishing play, independentley and with other children. My daughter eats really well with Tessa and has tried lots of different foods. I also receive a full update of what she has been up to with her day when I pick her up. Having my daughter with Tessa has felt like leaving her with a family member, I've always had absolute confidence that she is safe and cared for in the best environment. I cannot reccomend Tessa's childcare services enough.

Excellent Childminder

Tessa has been looking after my son for nearly two years now. He has settled so well and always smiles when he knows we are going to Tessa’s. She provides a wide variety of fun and stimulating activities in a safe and nurturing environment. He has grown in confidence and loves taking part in the activities with the other children. He has made some lovely friends and enjoys his days out in the local area. Tessa is very skilled at providing activities that my son is interested in and supports his development. We are very happy with the excellent care Tessa provides! Highly recommend Tessa as a childminder ++++

Wonderful, nurturing setting for our children

Tessa has given both of our children the best possible start to their EYFS, providing a safe and homely setting whilst supporting the developing of their social, mental, emotional and physical needs. Tessa first minded our son between 2017 and 2021, and we were able to quickly see how much he thrived in her setting. From his time in Tessa's setting, we feel this set solid foundations for his education as he transitioned to primary school, having already learned to write his own name and count to ten. When we had our daughter, it was a no-brainer for us where she would be attending when I returned to work. She is now a year into her time with Tessa and enjoying every moment. I cannot wait to see her thrive with Tessa just like her brother did.
Tessa's kindness, dedication and expertise shines through every day and we feel so privileged that both our children will hold happy memories from their years with her.

Outstanding not only by Ofsted but by my children

I have used Tessa continuously for the past 7 years firstly for my son and now for my daughter.
She has always gone over and beyond for both my children coming up with strategies and ideas to bring them both on in areas they need development.
My son has excelled at school and know this in part has been helped by Tessa and her patience and understanding of his quirks. Even starting school during the COVID lockdown didn't hinder the transition from Tessa to school.
My daughter has flourished with Tessa's kindness and gentle manner and is becoming more confident with every session.
Tessa has a beautiful setting that she's very thoughtfully adapted to be the perfect place for outside play as well as many resources and fun things inside as well.
She always has time to discuss anything and the support I have received goes well beyond what I would have expected.
They have always had fun trips, memorable experiences, great activities and epic food.
They both think the world of Tessa and I have huge respect for her and will continue to recommend to everyone long after the children are both in school.

Amazing childminder

Tessa looked after my daughter and now looks after my son at her setting. She looks after children at her house and provides a home from home nurturing and stimulating environment. My son is autistic and Tessa has truly gone above and beyond to ensure his needs are met. She has been instrumental in planning for his move to school in September, and has been a fantastic support to us as well. Tessa is kind, and dedicated and both of our children totally thrived in her care and completely adore her. I could not recommend her highly enough.

Fantastic childminder

We were recommended to Tessa by another childminder who had no space at the time, and we are so glad we were - we couldn't be happier. Tessa is a fantastic childminder who goes above and beyond what is expected and provides a very relaxed, safe and happy environment for the children. She arranges so many great activities both in and out of home and puts so much effort into learning as well as fun. The children receive healthy home cooked meals every day with plenty of fresh fruit and veg.
Our son has been attending since he was 6 months old and is due to start school this year. We now send him to nursery in preparation for school but continue 2 days a week with Tessa as we feel his time with her is so valuable. He was a quiet and reserved boy who was nervous in group situations, but with her help he has really come out of his shell.
Highly recommend!

Excellent childminder

Tessa has been looking after my little girl for just over four years, in that time my daughter has really thrived in tessa's care. Tessa provides a fun, safe, nurturing environment for the children in her care and has so many wonderful ideas to entertain and educate the children she looks after. No day is the same with Tessa, she has taken my daughter to so many wonderful places come rain or shine, the zoo, heligan, the woods, to name a few. Tessa is a very warm, friendly and supportive childminder and she has a lovely family and home with a nice big garden for the kids to run around in. I highly recommend Tessa, I was very lucky to find her and miss her terribly now my daughter has started school.

excellent

My four year old daughter has been minded by Tessa for over two years and she loves it there. Tessa is dedicated and very caring to the children. She adheres to the EYFS curriculum and keeps up her continuing proffesional development in all aspects of health, education and safety. My daughter has been on many, many outings which are always fun, educational and keep her physically active and she always has home-cooked healthy food. Even when they are at home all day (not very often) they still have lots of fun and do lots of different activities. I would not hesitate to enrol with Tessa.

Very professional and friendly childminder

Both of my children have been cared for by Tessa, one from 14 months old and the other from 6 months old. Both children have received excellent care and really enjoyed attending. Tessa has an excellent setting with a wide range of toys and activerties. She has produced lovely learning journals which show the children's progress and milestones.

From the very first contact we have had with Tessa we have been very impressed with her professional and friendly manner. She made our daughter feel so welcome and she thoroughly enjoyed her time with Tessa. Tessa has also been extremely accommodating with regards to the timing of child care provided. We would recommend Tessa and we are incredibly grateful to have found someone who we feel reassured leaving our daughter with.
