About Me
Hello, my name is Jayne and i am a Registered Childminder with Ofsted,and was graded 'Outstanding' in my last 3 inspections, the latest graded one being January 2016, when I was working with the under 5 age group. I now only care for school aged children, before and after school, and in school holidays. I am insured through Morton Michael, and my last inspection was 2020, where I only had school aged children.
I enjoy cooking, walking in the countryside, and socialising with my friends.
I live in Petts Wood, in a detached house, opposite Crofton school ,which i take and collect the children from. I am in close distance to both Petts Wood and Orpington stations.
I offer a variety of activities after school every day, ranging from arts and crafts, board games, puzzles, Lego etc, for all the school age groups. I have a dedicated playroom where the children are free to choose the activities they wish to play with. The older children have access to a quiet area if they wish to do any homework.
We do themed activities after school as well, for Mother’s Day, Chinese New Year, Xmas, etc
I have a garden for the children to play in, with slide and climbing frame and we also often go on the ‘green’ opposite the house after school for them to play, which is a very popular activity!
I provide breakfast and evening meal after school. The evening meal is home cooked, and the children have a choice of fruit afterwards, yoghurts, and a pudding. All meals are included in the fee.
School holidays are available, and a packed lunch is included in the fee. We often go out for day trips as well as activities in the local amenities and at home.
My Experience
I have been a registered childminder for over 30 years and have seen many changes in this time.
Having brought up 2 children of my own, and seen many children through to school, i have many years of dealing with the joys and the problems that come with the job!!
As a mother myself, i know how important it is that you feel happy when you leave your child with someone, and i make my home a very warm and welcoming place for the children to play and chill out in after school with their friends, with many resources and toys which are suitable for the different age groups, in a home from home environment.
My Qualifications
I have a level 4 from the Open University in Early Years Practice, and i hold an up to date First Aid Certificate
I have attended many training sessions provided by the local early years team, ranging from speech and language development, child development to child protection and various others, all which can be seen in my portfolio.
My Availability
I am available Monday to Thursday 7.30am until 6.00pm
I work term time and during the schoolholidays.
I am available to take and collect from Crofton infant and junior school

My Fees
- Childminding from £7.00 per hour
My fees are £28 before and after school, which includes breakfast and dinner (from 7.30 am drop off and 6.00pm pick up)
Full fee is payable if your child is on holiday in term time or your child is off sick.
There is no charge when i am on holiday or off sick
£65 per day in school holidays , includes all meals

Jayne has been such an amazing childminder to our daughter. She goes above and beyond as a childminder to not only care for your child but give them the best, exciting and stimulating home from home experience ever! I cannot recommend her enough to anyone looking for a childminder in petts wood. She really puts her heart and soul into her job and cares for children as if they were her own. She never fails to dress up in the craziest and funniest costumes for every occasion you can think of which the kids all love. Highly recommended xxx

Jayne is absolutely fantastic - her energy, sense of fun and extremely caring nature mean that Jayne is an outstanding childminder who provides the highest quality care to all the children she looks after. She provides a wide array of activities for the children to enjoy: from crafts, baking and games on the green to fundraising, competitions and parties for special occasions. It really is a 'home from home' environment and my son loves his time there. I would wholeheartedly recommend!

Jayne has looked after our daughter from reception. She provides excellent care and a lovely warm home environment. My daughter always looks forward to seeing Jayne and loves it when she dresses up, celebrates the various seasonal holidays, and has tried and liked many varieties of food. Highly recommended!

Jayne has been our childminder since our daughter started reception. She has always provided a fun, warm, home from home environment. She is endlessly creative, celebrates every seasonal holiday, dresses up, raises money for charity and more. Our daughter could not be happier in her setting and we wouldn’t know what to do without her!
