Hi my name is Lyn, I am an Ofsted registered childminder and have lived in Horsham West Sussex with my husband for over 20 years. I offer a home from home childcare setting close to Horsham town centre with an amazing garden to explore.
I am Ofsted registered and DRB checked. I provide a varied curriculum with the curiosity approach, which is very much child-led learning encouraging children to be curious, figure things out for themselves and be in control of their own learning at their own pace following their own interests. I also encompassing Hygge the danish approach to living well, with a feeling of warmth and togetherness and being present in moment, where we take time to explore and understand the world around us. We take walks in nature to discover amazing treasures that each season provides. We may bake some lovely cookies, cakes or bread to share using fruit from our own garden or shop bought depending on the time of year. We have interactive story times, where the children are encouraged to find different things in the book, use props or make the noises of animals or monster depending on the story. Montessori learning provides the children with resources to explore and learn from, in their own way using everyday items and loose parts play encourages imagination and independence. Writing materials are available everyday to encourage mark making in sand, with paints, crayons or pens and using other mark making tools such as chalk on a board, water or magic sketchers.

Lyn cared our son(2) for one year. He was so shy to communicate with other people, but she could find contact with him and they become close friends.
She builts strong relationship in her group and after short time kids started getting on well and play together!
I strongly recommended her for everyone!

Lyn looks after my 8 month old son and she has been a true amazing! My son settled in very quickly and has made excellent progress. Every morning he reaches out for Lyn and smiles when he sees her. We did think out using a local nursery but Lyn is much much better!! A true home from home with a professional and kind feel. Great communication via email and phone with excellent use of tapestry so we know how he is developing. I cant reccommend Lyn enough!!😊

It's so hard choosing someone to entrust your most precious little people with, but I can honestly say that Lyn is beyond fantastic! She is genuinely loving and engaging with all the children, provides a stimulating, fun and educational environment and communicates fantastically with parents. I cannot recommend Lyn highly enough and my two just adore her!

Lyn has been looking after our 2 1/2 year old and 6 year old (before and after school) boys since September 2015.
The boys love her!
She is so organised, yet easy going and really flexible with our childcare needs. She always comes up with fantastic schedules and interesting day activities and provides excellent feedback and reports.
Can’t fault anything at all and would highly recommend!

Moved to Horsham with no Family to support with Childcare. The min we met Lyn we knew she was the right person.
We started with Lyn in 2015 and it's been a lovely experience .My Little girl won't stop talking about her.She involves the Kids in varied activities and since my little Girl started with her her confidence is through the roof.
Very supportive and very flexible.Couldnt ask for anything more.
