About Me
I live in Chelston, Torquay with my husband and two sons Elliot, 9 and Oscar 7. I offer 'home from home' childcare and children in my care are treated as part of the family during their time with me.
I am a very active childminder and have a close network of childminder friends that we spend lots of time with. The children therefore socialise as part of a large group, becoming friends with these children, as well as forming close friendships with the children in my setting.
We go on daily outings to places like the zoo, farms, woodlands, beaches, groups, soft play etc. I plan topics termly which gives us a great base for our daily craft, baking and planned activities. I follow the EYFS and we have lots of fun 'learning through play'.
We like to spend lots of time outdoors and I have a large garden with pet chickens that we all enjoy caring for and collecting the eggs daily! I hold NVQ level 3 in childcare and I keep all relevant training up to date.
I provide healthy nutritious meals and snacks and can cater for special dietary requirements.

My children attend Sherwell Valley Primary so I am able to drop off and pick-up from here.
My Experience
Graded as Outstanding by Ofsted (June 2013) at first inspection.
I offer 2, 3 and 4 year old funded spaces.

My Availability
7.30am-6pm Monday to Thursday.

Vicky has cared for my two children for almost a year. They look forward to their fun filled days with her and have both grown in confidence socially. Vicky fills their day with play and education in equal measure. They are provided with good, balanced meals. They are encouraged to learn new skills, at their own pace and as a consequence they have become more adventurous. Both of my children are happy and thriving in Vicky's care. I am kept up to date with their activities through out the day via text photographs, verbal discussions when i pick them up, through the use of a two way daily diary and an end of term progress book. It is obvious that Vicky is loved by all of the children in her care.
