About Me
Childcare at The Laurels Ltd, is a long established setting offering the perfect balance between a childminders and a nursery.
September 24 starts available with funded spaces also for children aged three plus.
Caring from age 10 months to five.
Our school readiness program is something we are extremely proud of.
Children leave us full of confidence, and with many of the skills taught to children during the primary year of reception.
My family and I moved to Takeley in October 2014.
I work alongside a small group of mature, loving and experienced Ofsted approved assistants. I have been a childminder for over 12 years.
I am proud of the amazing nursery facilities we have for the children and babies in our care. We have lots of experience with twins.
Our amazing team have both nursery management, nursery practitioner and childminding experience. I am happy to accept Tax Free Childcare, often saving you up to 20%. I live in a bright, spacious and loving family home with my husband and youngest son of whom is 24. They support my career and are great with the little ones. As a team we believe in giving lots of praise, love and cuddles. We encourage learning through play and have a wonderful nursery on domestic premises. We have a very large play area (in addition to using the whole house), a newly decorated baby/cosy room and a large garden. We have also developed a forest garden area. We include regular exercise in our daily routine. We welcome a dance and a phonics teacher on rotation on Thursdays and a Spanish teacher on Fridays. The children adore these sessions. Lots of fun and messy play. Spaces available from September onwards.
We are currently able to offer full and part time places. Full days only. No term time only spaces.

My Experience
I have over twelve years childminding experience. I am also a qualified post natal carer so I have experience in assisting mums from birth, occasionally in their own homes, including multiple births. I have a current paediatric first aid certificate. I am very proud of the quality of my care and I keep myself and my assistants knowledge up to date - regularly attending new training.
My Qualifications
Fully qualified and insured. Ofsted registered.
Qualified night nanny/post natal carer.

Funded spaces and privately funded spaces from September 2024. Full and part time spaces available currently on a Monday and Friday.

Childcare at the Laurels was our little girls second home for the last 2 years with Louise and the team creating a genuine warm family feel. They provide excellent care, involve the parents in children’s development, and the kids simply love them! Our little one asked each morning (including weekends!) if she is going to the Lou-Lou’s! She is off to big school now but our son still has another few fun filled years in the in the careful care of Childcare at the Laurels. Highly recommended!

There is not another childcare facility like The Laurels. My two boys both started at 9 months old and have been there since 2017. The setting has an embracing family feel, the experiences and teachings available to the children are fantastic, Lou and all the staff are professional/welcoming/caring in every sense, the facility has a home-from-home feel (which personally is exactly what I prefer for my children) and all other aspect exceed my expectations. My children have gone from strength to strength attending the setting, and they’ll be there until they start school. What a way to start the learning journey! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all you’ve done for our children.

Making the transition to leaving your children at a childminder when returning to work is inevitably emotional and complex but we couldn’t be happier with the level of care and attention our daughter received. The staff, setting and learning environment are fantastic and our daughter loves attending. She has made excellent progress from a development perspective, we are delighted.

We've never left my son with a childminder but Louise made the whole experience so easy! Leaving him with her was the easiest part of going back to work. My little boy looks forward to seeing her and tells me he misses her on the days he doesn't go.
Everyday she organises fun activities which he is overjoyed to share! Thank you Louise

Louise has been looking after my Son Jenson since March 2016 when he was just 4 months old.
Louise is a caring and active childminder and Jenson adores her.
Louise keeps daily diaries on what Jenson has been upto and eaten during the day which is great and she always sends us photos throughout the day which is amazing!
She takes Jenson's to playgroups and on day trips to. Louise and her family really make Jenson feel apart of the family.
Very much recommend!
