My name is Sophie. I have opened my own childminding premises called Baby Town, in Farm Lane SW6, to share my enthusiasm and experience with a team of childminders and assistants, and families seeking help with childcare needs.
I am a hands-on person, hard-working, patient, a sense of humour, lots of energy and stamina who loves to encourage children using part of the Montessori philosophy to grow, develop and experience life at their own pace, learning to do things for themselves to encourage independence and self-esteem.
Our childminding settings are home from home in nice Victorian houses in Fulham with a safe back garden or a roof terrace patio. They have all the comfort of a home environment with learning and opportunities of a nursery. The premises are open on a daily basis Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 5:00, with a Team of 3 carers, childminders and assistants, to care for 9 children maximum per day from 6 months to 4 years of age.
We prepare every morning, before the children arrive, organic homemade meals.
We give individual and close attention to each child and cater to their own individual needs. Safety, care, and happiness of children are paramount and we offer many opportunities and activities as well as having the flexibility of home care. We take children to the library, soft play, parks, museums, and other cultural interests (with prior permission).
We love being outside and giving children the time which they can gain from the simple things in life.
We do educational adult-led activities and child-led free-play on a daily basis which develops areas of learning in literacy, communication, physical exercise, crawling and walking, pen control, numeracy, art and design, knowledge of the World, personal, social, and emotional development.
We have a wide selection of toys and resources to provide for children of all ages and stages.

I highly recommend Baby town, an amazing nursery with experienced and careful carers, outstanding premises, a daily outting and really great vibes.
My daughter started at roughly 18 months years old. She settled very quickly with Sophie and all other carers. Daily reports with photographs and a short resume of the day are precious. The home made food and multiple languages spoken (english, french, spanish) are real assets compare to other nurseries. Sophie and her staff are really supportive and super skilled to help children to deal with their emotions, the respect of others/rules, to develop their creativity and curiosity. My daughter speaks perfectly both English and French which is quite unusual for a 3.5 years old child learning both language at the same time. She has never been so happy and often says " I miss nursery" when she is at home. I could say so many good things about Baby town but the list is too long. Well done. You will be missed in September!

Sophie and the team were absolutely amazing to our little boy. He joined the premises when he was 17 months old and had a very hard time settle, however Sophie's patience, dedication and love for what she does, made this transition possible. I am very grateful for this.
I love the fact that there is a lot of outing and kids spends a lot of time running outside and getting to know nearby parks and nature.
Kids are having a great diet as food is freshly made every day, which is an important factor.
Sophie is always helpful with any advice as she has extensive experience with the kids. Lucky me - all her advises worked wonders for my boy :)
Would highly recommend Baby Town to any parent as I couldn't think of a better place for my own child.

Sophie and her team have incredibly high standards when it comes to the welfare to our children. They fully respect parents routines and approaches, as well as provide advice when needed.
Every morning, our son was so excited to see the front door of the nursery, that it was easy to hand him over as he smiled to his careers. The team notice every little detail, which is of great comfort to parents!
The food is amazing, homemade, organic and healthy - no other nursery can match this.
If you want your kids to be happy, choose Baby Town!
It was with big regret that we had to leave Sophie and her team as we moved away from London.
Thank you everyone for everything!!

My daughter started to go to Baby Town from her 8 months. She is 2 yrs old now and every day she is very enthusiastic to meet her carers and friends. Since her beginnings with Sophie, she made a lot of progress, and I can say Sophie and her team are doing an amazing job to encourage kids, support their confidence and their improvements.
Kids have a nice routine mixing outside activities in different parks/playgrounds with indoor activities, such as music, reading, craft, etc. Also, we really appreciate all the excellent habits they are learning at Baby Town (wash hands, share toys and wait for her turn, etc.). It’s very pleasant to observe these habits when our daughter is back at home!
On the meals side, every snack (morning and afternoon) and the lunch are very healthy and freshly cooked by the team.
We really also appreciate the daily summary and pictures of our daughter; we can follow what she is doing during the day and follow all anecdotes!
To summarise, we are very happy to have chosen Baby Town, Sophie and her team are amazing, and I will recommend to everyone to choose them – they are the best for your littles ones!

Our son attended Baby Town for nine months from about 14mths old. He loved going there and spending time with his friends and carers.
We appreciated the focus on his individual development, and the wide range of activities and daily outings to local parks and surroundings. It was great to get regular updates of his day and notes of bigger milestones. We always felt he was well looked after and would’ve loved for him to continue there longer, but we moved abroad. I would highly recommend the Sophie and her team.

I could not think of a better child minder for my daughter. She looks forward to seeing her carers and friends each day. Her days are filled with outdoor play, learning, arts and crafts, and one-to-one attention. The snacks and lunch provided are always very healthy and nutritious. Our daughter always comes home happy, and has become very independent and confident . I am very happy with everything Sophie and her team have done to help raise my daughter. Baby town is truly a home away from home environment.

Our son stayed few months with Sophie and he really liked enjoyed her and her adorable team.
Each evening parents received a report of the with pictures and it's really detailed.
Our son made great improvements there and we thank Sophie very much.
If we didn't left London for France, for sure our son will still be there.

We know Sophie for more than 3 years now and to summarise we couldn’t be happier and feel completely secured to have our children with her and her team. More than this she is for the kids as important as a member of the family and cares for them in a very genuine way while keeping her premises very organised and professional. Without hesitation I would recommend her services and intend to continue to place our kids in her care for a long time to come.
We have two children a 3,5year old boy and a 15months old girl. Our son was in full time care with Sophie from age of 5months to 3year old and now is going to pre school. He thrived during his time with her and I could see him grow up and play with children from different ages which helped him a lot becoming a confident and happy little boy. The best testimony always been how happy he was to go everyday at Sophie's. We are experiencing the same great experience with our little girl who is now going full time and is running into the premises to play with her friends with a big smile.
Sophie places Health, wellbeing and safety at the centre of her concerns and put in place a variety of good practices that makes us feel very comfortable as parents (policies, organisation of the flat, ratio children/carers, covid related procedures).
The premises are spotless and a lot of attention is put on hygiene. The kids took some excellent habits like washing their hand after potty, regularly ask to wash his hand and cleaning his table ect.
All the food is freshly made and of excellent quality with special care around avoiding salt and sugar. They are being introduced to a variety of flavour, and learn to enjoy discovering. As always, Sophie is given a lot of attention to each individual needs of the children by encouraging them where they have more difficulties. Our son never been very enthusiastic on fruits and she looked for a lot of different ways to introduce them. Our daughter had a lot of issue taking the bottle when she was younger and again Sophie always been available and spent a lot of time helping and looking for solution.
Sophie and her team plans a huge variety of activities for the children and makes sure they all participate to them. They range across craft, painting, singing, reading, cooking, picking fruit at the market, going to the park, playing outside, discovering texture and taste, building blocks, different play area, dressing up ect.
I can see how the kids are engaged at home in a lot of different activities and are happy to experiment. She will also leave the child to discover in their own terms and wont force any activity upon them.
They also have a very good routine and learn basic community leaving rules for instance how to tidy and help with small task. Sophie and her team know how to create a relaxed and happy environment with the necessary boundaries and are very good at setting limits.
We particularly like the fact that the kids spend a lot of time outside (unless really bad weather!) and discover nature, play as a group and simply take some fresh air. It's really important in our opinion and she fully takes advantage of the parks in the area (and in a covid secured way now).
Lastly the level of communication with parent is excellent. Since the adaptation period to this day, Sophie have been taking on board in great details all the information / routine to make sure the kids feels confortable since day 1, asking for detailed questions on their habits and giving very detailed feedback on how the day went and how they adapted in the premises. We felt since the start she is very attentive to individual needs of the kids and she knows them all extremely well as individual.
We receive a daily update with pictures and a summary of their day + practical info (what they hate, nap time ect). This is invaluable as helps a really smooth transition between home and childcare, when older you can discuss what they have done and also simply have a window in their day to day. She also do in depth development tracking bi annual that are really impressive and accurate, and also a great sharing moment to discuss where to encourage and support our little ones.
All I can say is a huge thanks you to her and her team for those years!

We resume our stay in Carry and Care in a few words: the best place for our daughter, so for us!
Our stay was not so long, but those 9 weeks were really excellent.
Renée enjoyed since the first day until the end. Always smiling and going very excited every day to the childminder.
We really like the place, the toys, the outgoings to the parks, the childminders, and that Renée could spend time with children of different ages.
We completely recommend it!
Finally, thanks to Sophie and all the staff for everything!!
Renée, Sebastian and Michelle.

I couldn’t ask for a better carer for my little one. He started at her childminder premises when he was just 9 months old and could not have asked for a better experience for him and for us as parents. He He is so happy to be there surrounded by professionals and his friends. Sophie is nice, candid and treat all the children there with love and professionalism. Same for her team of assistants. She also cooks daily meals with a good range of variety of vegs,proteins,carbs....with several snacks during the day.
She is also very good in providing parents with a daily report of activities, food, nappies changes, naps and physical and social development of the baby. She also upload pics in a daily basis which is quite reassurance for parents to verify she and her team really take care of our little ones.
I’d definitely recommend her services as childminder. Baby is so happy and so are we as parents.
