Hello, my name is Jackie, I live with my two daughters in New Kyo. I am OFSTED registered and a member of the Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years.
My Experience
I have worked with young children for 18 years, first as a nursery nurse and then moved over to Childminding in 2014, after starting my own family.
I have worked with children aged four weeks to 11 years, including children with special educational needs and children with English as an additional language.

My Availability
. My core hours are 7.00 am until 5.00pm, Tuesday to Friday but I can be flexible if required.

Our little girl has been with Jackie since she was 5 months old (she has just turned 3). Jackie has been there every step of the way, she has welcomed H into her home and nurtured her over the years. Jackie has supported us all through every milestone; eating solids, crawling, walking, teething, playing, potty training and everything else in between. She has always been on hand for help and advice if we've been unsure (first time parents).
Jackie has nurtured our little girl, encouraging her to be confident, independent and problem solve. H is 100mph and extremely active, Jackie always has something fun planned but fully adaptable when H arrives with an idea for the day. H always comes home with a tale to tell; many walks, park trips, Beamish outings and trips to the seaside whilst encouraging her to explore and learn.
More recently we have seen our little girl develop a greater understanding of emotions and how to articulate them along with academic skills such as learning numbers and letters.
Jackie has really created a safe place which is genuinely a home from home environment and H is excited to go every day!

We were incredibly lucky to find Jackie and are extremely grateful to her! Our little boy joined Rainbow Smiles when I returned to work after maternity leave and stayed with her until pre-school. Jackie really does care about the children in her care, that is plain to see. Our little boy came on leaps and bounds and really enjoyed his time with her. She does a lot with the children, crafting, park outings etc and pays real attention to detail in development. There were always balloons and cake when it was his birthday, something I thought was a real special touch! I cannot recommend Jackie enough, if you are looking for a reliable, trustworthy childminder…you’ve found her! Thank you Jackie.

Jackie looked after our daughter for nearly 4 years and we are eternally grateful for her! As a teacher, I am familiar with the EY framework and have always been so impressed with how Jackie builds on this. The range of activities and vocabulary the children are exposed to are excellent. We had particularly strict dietary requirements, all of which were adhered to and evidenced in a food log which was really useful to have. Jackie’s house is always immaculate and very safe. Most importantly Jackie is the warmest, loveliest woman to help you bring up your children. Some of our daughter’s best bits come from spending so much time with Jackie. It’s an absolute no brainer for us to send our new son in January too!

When returning to work after my daughter in 2021 I originally placed her in a nursery however the experience was not good and I had no trust in the provider after several lies/inaccuracies were told and pulled her within a few weeks - I was lucky enough to find Jackie who fit us in. And how lucky we were - my daughter thrived there and really received a home from home experience and as parents knowing she was safe and nurtured was a huge weight off our minds. I cannot reccomend Jackie enough and my youngest will also be attending with her from 2024 when I return from maternity again.

I have been a SAHM for nearly three years, I decided to go to College to further my career. Trusting someone else with my little treasure was going to be hard but after leaving my LB for the first few times and seeing how much he enjoyed his time at Rainbow Smiles put me at ease.
My LB has been attending Rainbow Smiles since September 2014 (just before he turned 2) He loves going and has a great time each day he is there. He loves bringing home all of his lovely makes that he creates there and enjoys telling us about his day. He especially enjoys going to group sessions and days out.
Jackie pays a lot of attention to my LB's needs and our requirements, she is a really lovely person and a wonderful childminder.
We would highly recommend Rainbow Smiles to anyone in the area who is looking for a reliable, caring and home from home service.
