I have been childminding for a number of years and a registered childminder with The Care inspectorate.
I am located in Newton Mearns and Married to Stephen. We have 2 daughters aged 27 and 24,the eldest is a Primary School Teacher and the youngest is a lawyer.
Our house is on one level and has an extensive garden area with outdoor play to the rear.
As a mum myself I understand the challenges of juggling a work/home lifestyle.
I offer a smoke and pet free environment. I am extremely passionate about working with children and will provide a safe, warm, nurturing, educational and stimulating environment catered to each child's needs.
I will be offering appropriate and varied experiences that support the development of the children in my care. I love making children happy and enjoy seeing the smiles on their faces. I personally think it’s the environment you create and children are cared for which is important.

My Experience
I have been childminding collectively for 20 years and have formed great relationships with parents and children both past and present. I have been very fortunate to look after some fantastic children and see them flourish from birth to school age.
Vast experience working in childcare- ranging from babies to pre school age and also after school care.
I have a full clean driving licence with business insurance and I provide car seats.
My Qualifications
I have completed my First Aid, I have also been on various courses ie. Child Protection,Food Hygiene, First Aid, Autism Awareness, In Car Safety, Asthma Awareness and many more
I am registered with various organisations which also keeps me updated with curriculum changes and development

Our little boy was really well looked after by Margaret a few days a week from age 1 to 3 before he recently started nursery. Margaret provided a lovely warm, comfortable and caring environment. She is very consistent, has a lovely manner with the children in her care, calm, kind and patient and really takes the time to engage with each child and get to know them. We loved that she always celebrated their little achievements and acknowledges special occasions.
We found Margaret to be great at providing detailed feedback on how our little one had been each day and loved that she would often send little photo updates of the adventures they had together.
Margaret is excellent at providing a wealth of different experiences and activities and always kept it fun, interesting and engaging for the children taking them to music group or playgroup (prior to lockdowns) or different parks and wooded areas for outdoor play. She also has a fantastic home set-up with safe enclosed garden for outdoor play too which our little one really enjoyed.
At pick-up time there was often the excitement of showing us their latest themed arts and crafts project to celebrate various social events and holidays for example Halloween, Chinese New Year, Burns night etc which was both enjoyable for our little one as well as educational.
Our little boy formed a lovely bond with Margaret and the other children in her care and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Margarets childminding services, it has been a really positive experience for us all.

My daughter has been looked after by Margaret for the last few years after my maternity leave , like any new mother I found it difficult and I was apprehensive leaving my child , however after meeting Margaret and her family my daughter settled in very quickly and I felt at ease going to work knowing she was in good hands time has passed quickly and my daughter loves it I would be lost without Margaret ❤️❤️

Margaret looked after our son for 6 months after we moved into the area and I cannot recommend her highly enough. My little one was always welcomed with open arms, not only Margaret but her entire family, who are just lovely.
Margaret promotes healthy eating, active lifestyle and the kids are always out and about on new adventures which our wee one absolutely loved. We never struggled with bed time after a day at Margaret's house!
He learned so much and came on leaps and bounds (especially with learning to share and good manners) and I cannot thank her enough.
I'd happily recommend Margaret to anyone looking for everything you could possibly want in a childminder.

My husband and I work long hours and have 2 children who are now aged 4 and 5 , being such a small gap in age we found them competitive and challenging in there early years
Margaret had them full time for over 2 years until we moved out of the area, we found her to be very caring and brought the kids on leaps and bounds
Would have no hesitation in recommending her and she currently looks after our friends child

Margaret looked after our son Andrew for 2 years before starting school we were new to the area.
Andrew was bi-lingual and found difficulty in pronouncing his sounds in English within a few months with Margaret we found his speech had improved significantly
Andrew loved his time and we miss her dearly and recommend Margaret highly
