My Summary
About Me
Hi, Thanks for visiting my Profile. I am a 41 year-old Level 4 qualified Maternity Nurse. I am trustworthy and extremely reliable individual with a bubbly personality. I also offer evening babysitting (4 hours minimum)
I am naturally a calm, gentle and nurturing nanny who loves to watch/encourage my charges grow and develop. I adore working with children and have a real passion for it.
Blessed with three of my own children, my eldest Jake 23 has autism so I have first-hand experience of dealing with children on the spectrum. My two daughters Holly and Thea are 21 and 9, I’m also foster Mum to 3 year old boy. As you can imagine there isn’t much about childcare that fazes me!
My Experience
I have always wanted to work with children, even as a young girl it was all I ever wanted to do when I grew up and now over 20 years on I have enjoyed working a number different roles. Working with children varying in ages from newborn's to teenagers in day time and night roles .
My first role was as an au pair for a family with two children aged 3 and 4. I loved this role and I am still in touch with the family, The ‘children’ are now 25 and 27!
Next I moved on to working in a crèche called World of children in Kingston town center. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and worked right up until the day before I had my son Jake.
When Jake was 6 months old I started work at a nursery in Chessington. He came with me to work which worked brilliantly until I fell pregnant with my second child Holly.
After I had my daughter I took a few years off working to concentrate on my children, when Holly was three and Jake started school I decided to start child-minding and ended up finding a little girl the same age as Holly to look after. A year or so later the little girls mum had her second child who I started caring for at 6 weeks old. Two years after that she had another little girl who also came to me at 6 weeks old along with her big sisters. I looked after all the girls until the youngest started full time school. We still keep in touch and my children are still good friends with this families children. I still provide ad hoc care for the girls.
In 2014 my daughter Holly started secondary school and I started my first nanny role looking after a 2 year old girl and a 4 year old boy. I instantly loved my job and the family I worked for. In 2015 I fell pregnant with my third child Thea, after having three months off with her I went back to work and it all panned out really well, the children adored Thea and became like extra siblings to her. This role came to an end in 2019 after many happy years and we still keep in touch. (Alongside this role I also did a nanny share with another family for 6 months looking after a 7 year old boy who was in the same class as the little girl I looked after)
My next role was with a 8 year old providing before and after school care. I also brought Thea with me to this job and again it worked well, she was at pre school in the mornings by now. During the day I would carry out housekeeping tasks and family admin. I also took care of and trained the families Golden-Doodle puppy! When corona virus hit in March 2020 I was furloughed as the Dad of the family had to shield. Later on in the year the family decided they would no long require a nanny as they were going to be working from home for the foreseeable future. I decided to take the summer off with Thea as she started school in September.
In October 2020 once I had my daughter settled into reception I started a new role with a family who had a 10 month old and a four year old. This has been a lovely family to work for but again due the 2nd lockdown their circumstances have changed. The mums office was shut down and she is now permanently working from home. They live in a very small cottage so a nanny being there with the two children makes working from home extremely difficult. Because of this they have decided to seek childcare outside of their home with a childminder instead.
In July 2020 I started my first Maternity Nurse role looking after a baby boy from 10 days old 3 nights a week for 6 months. Since then I have worked with several other families (including twins)supporting them with their newborns throughout the night. In August 2021 I gained a level 4 maternity nurse qualification.
Since I started working as a maternity nurse I have provided families with a whole range of support, from implementing a good routine ensuring baby is effectively feeding and sleeping, helping new mothers to breastfeed along with taking full care of the newborn overnight so the new parents can get much needed nights rest!
In June 2022 our family were approved as foster carers and we now have a foster son who is 20 months old living with us full time.

Sarah was fantastic with our newborn twins and was a lifesaver, giving us a much needed rest! She is a kind, nurturing and professional maternity nurse. She is friendly and knowledgeable, and helped us navigate those early months with our two babies. A lovely person!
Sarah looked after our daughter a couple of nights a week over a 3 month period (from when she was about 3 weeks old) and she was simply wonderful.
She fits right in to your household and routines. My daughter, husband and I were instantly at ease with her… and I think our dog was just as pleased to see her too!
She respects how you want to parent and is there to give helpful tips or ideas if you want them and I did!
I will never forget waking up feeling rested after her first overnight stay….
If only all new mums and parents could have a “Sarah” for a few nights in their lives…the world would be a happier place! :)
For sure we will be keeping in touch.
So if you are reading this and debating… don’t hesitate to give her night nannying a try- I promise you won’t regret it!
Sarah looked after our little boy from 4 weeks until about 5 months one or two nights a week. She was a godsend! She looked after him overnight, bringing him up to me for feeds, giving him a bottle, changing him and settling him back to sleep. Sarah is kind, friendly and very gentle with our baby. She fitted into our way of parenting and how we did things with no problems. One of the most important things for me was she was completely non judgemental and didn’t impose any routine or sleep training. Would highly recommend and I hope we stay in touch.
Sarah has been working as a night nanny with us for our little baby boy for three months from Week 4 and we highly recommend her. she is professional, punctual, reliable and experienced. We feel so blessed and assured when our baby stays with her. With her calming and caring personality, our baby has developed a very good routine from early on and everything comes naturally without additional force. Sarah always listens to our needs and concerns around the baby ranging from feeding to development and give relevant advice and suggestions. We are lucky to have found her and will continue to keep in touch with her for any further needs in the near future.
My wife Rachel and I could not recommend Sarah more highly enough. Sarah provided night nannying for our newborn Hugo for 10 weeks. She gave us real confidence as new parents. She is highly experienced and has the knowledge to answer all of your questions/concerns including breastfeeding and bottle feeding. She is extremely punctual, professional and reliable. We still use Sarah today now that Hugo is older for occasional baby sitting. Sarah was and still is a delight to work with. Luke & Rachel
