About Me
Hello, My Name, is Marie, I am a warm, Mature person who loves to help people. I have been a childminder since April 2019. I am at the moment in the process with joining a childminding agency.
I have a large 4-bedroom detached house lounge is 23ft x 19ft, also have a large kitchen diner, and I am using the downstairs for my childminding and my husband, and I will be living upstairs. Also, my garden has been divided as that is large as well for the outside play. We live right next door to the nature reserve and has a beautiful little park situated at the top.
I have had 5 children and 10 beautiful grandchildren who I adore very much, their ages between months and 14 years. they all love coming to visit me, so they can play with some of the toys etc. so, I roughly know that all children have their own character which I enjoy helping them build their own personality and to make sure the children get off to a good start in life.
I enjoy sing and dancing with the children and helping the younger children with the milestone through to the next step in their life.
My Experience
Most of my experience has been a warm loving mother, who let my children learn by their own experiences and mistakes. As they got older, I went into college to study Childcare, and health and social courses, up to level 5. I also experience a Pre-access course in most subjects (English, Math, ICT, Science and double science) on which I enjoyed. But as my children left the home to have their families, there was no laughter in this house. That's when I started getting into childminding, I got qualified and haven't looked back. As i childcare in Peterborough, I am also registered with the Peterborough council early years team as to go on more courses and to study. I am also under the FIS team in Peterborough
I am a childminder, that has the availability for children of all ages. I am very flexible and usually awake early hours of the morning, I have a couple of NHS workers that come here. My prices come very cheap and reasonable, as it includes All meals and fluids etc. I am very laid-back person and also very warm and loving towards the children, we all have fun, but on a serious note, I enjoy helping the children get through the next phase of their life's. We also run a small private Nursery. I am situated in Hampton Vale, next to the Nature reserve, on which we go too, on a daily basis. I very much enjoy my work and everything that we all do. I do also pickups at a small fee, and we like to visit small places (trips) to have a great day, again which is included in the price. I do the 2/3/4-year funding which is between 15 & 30 Hours a week.

My Availability
My hours will be Monday to Friday 7am to 6pm all meal included I will do some emergency weekends but need to know well in advanced. as my fees would be a little more.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.50 per hour
My fees are £5.00 per hour, with hot meals included including breakfast, snacks. On some trips will be also included in the price. this will be reviewed once a year.

my daughter has been in this setting for 2 years now she is a very settled and one happy little girl the Bond and relationships she has built while being in the setting is amazing i highly recommend butterfly Cottage.

My daughter was new to the setting and settled well, for my daughter to come home after only a month with a PAN BURN and for this childminder not to be there to even give me a hand over or notify me that my daughter had been hurt; even though she came into my place of work multiple times that day WITHOUT my daughter. the next day I had to take my child to the hospital as it needed to be cleaned properly and it was confirmed it was a pan burn; when confronting the childminder i was told they was cooking pancakes that day. my daughter was with 2 other people who are not registered with ofsted through out the day. I have also found it difficult to verify the registration number online, I have now reported to ofsted and social services.

Hello I am sorry you had to leave this review, it was confirmed by me and my assistant that this incident did not happen at my setting your dauhter left with no marks on her. I come into your work place alone while my assistant was in the car with the children.Yes we had pancakes this day but again your daughter was with my assistant while i was cooking. Everyone in the household are ofsted registered and DBS checked. My osted certificate can be found on my notice board by my front door. Ofsted have been in contact and there is no further action required.

My son has been at this setting for a little over a year now , he absolutely enjoys it he's made friends and has a lovely friendship with the childminder. The food they have is well balanced there's plenty of activities for my son to do and plenty of toys for him to play with. Will be sad to leave when my son goes to school
